Well here we are, shivering our way into February and I can hardly believe how fast January passed, still these cold snaps kill off the bugs & we'll all keep better in the cold, so put off the Botox for a few more months!

Spotlight on Pinky Lilani OBE
Last month my friend Sukhinder arranged for me to meet a lovely lady, Pinky Lilani OBE www.spicemagic.com and, after a fascinating conversation with this extraordinary lady? I got a copy of her book 'Spice Magic' which I was unable to put down.
One thing I thought I'd share from it in this newsletter is the powerful antioxidant (which also means anti aging) qualities of the spice 'Turmeric' which is the root of a plant from the ginger family and has a distinctive yellow colour. (It's the spice that gives colour to onion bhaji's.) It also has many other benefits for health as well as flavour. Sprinkle it in hot drinks, soups and stews etc or in anything you like for a young, healthy you.

You can get a pair of leather shoes for a couple of pounds at the bowling alley....... which reminds me...... some years ago I went bowling with a group of colleagues and when we joined the queue for the shoes, one of the guys asked Kim to get his. "Size nine please." Kim's turn came and she said, "size nine and size five please" to which the girl sternly replied with arms folded, "We can't split them up!".......? It's not often I've been lost for words.
Well I'm heading off to India for two weeks and, sitting here snowbound in yet another power cut, I'd like to say how hard it is to tear myself away from dear old 'blighty' but, guess what....... I'll be out of here like a greyhound out of a trap!
